The 870 Express® is a tough, value-priced workhorse that ranks among the most useful tools an outdoorsman can own. The 870 Express is a versatile, no-nonsense shotgun that can be used for waterfowl, upland game, and deer hunting, as well as home defense and informal clay pigeon shooting. The ultra-reliable 870 Remington is built around a receiver milled from a solid billet of steel for maximum strength and twin action bars that prevent the action from binding or twisting during cycling. Pump shotguns like the 870 have excellent pointing characteristics. They approach the shooter’s shoulder and instinctively acquire targets, swinging fluidly on fast flying birds. This Remington Model 870 Express Pump-Action Shotgun features an almost indestructible black synthetic stock and fore-end that are impervious to water, as well as a matte blue/black bead-blasted receiver and barrel. There is a vent rib and a bead sight on the barrel, and the barrel accepts standard RemTM Choke screw-in choke tubes (comes with 1 modified tube). A tough, rubber recoil pad absorbs recoil and assists the shooter in remaining on target for faster follow-up shots. All 870 Express shotguns are interchangeable with 2-3/4″ or 3″ shotgun shells. Owners can customize the 870 Express with a variety of aftermarket Remington 870 accessories.
